The agreement

Terms

Last updated [DATE]. Version 1.0.

The short version. We connect you with providers after a collision. We are not lawyers, doctors, or an insurer, and we cannot advise you. Nothing here promises any outcome, and nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship.

What Collision Bureau is

Collision Bureau is a lead generation service. We collect information from people involved in collisions and pass it to providers in the categories they request, including towing, vehicle repair, rental, medical, legal, and vehicle replacement. Those providers pay us a fixed fee for the connection.

We are not a law firm, a medical provider, a repair facility, or an insurance company. We do not practice law or medicine, give legal, medical, or insurance advice, or evaluate the merit of any claim. We are not a lawyer referral service, and we hold no interest in any law firm.

We do not recommend anyone

We do not rank, rate, recommend, endorse, or select providers in any category, and we publish no ratings. Providers who receive information from us meet the published eligibility requirements for their category, which are objective minimums such as licensing and insurance. Meeting them is not an endorsement and says nothing about how good any provider is.

Who you hire is entirely your decision. You are never obligated to hire anyone, and you can talk to as many attorneys as you want.

No attorney-client relationship

Submitting the form does not make anyone your lawyer. No attorney-client relationship exists until you and an attorney both sign a written agreement. Until then, nothing you tell us is protected by attorney-client privilege.

That is worth taking seriously. Tell us enough for an attorney to decide whether they can help, and save the detail for the attorney.

No promises about outcomes

Nothing on this site predicts or guarantees any result. We do not know what a repair will cost, how long it will take, whether a claim will succeed, or what it is worth, and anyone who tells you otherwise before looking at the facts is guessing.

General information here about filing deadlines and claims is background, not legal advice about your situation. Deadlines vary by state and by circumstance, and only an attorney can tell you which one applies to you.

What we ask of you

Give us accurate information. Submit only your own details, or those of someone you are legally authorized to act for. Do not use the site if you are under 18. Do not submit anything false, and do not use the site to interfere with it or anyone on it.

If another lawyer already represents you on this claim, tell us. We will not pass your information to any attorney. The other categories you asked for still work, because having a lawyer does not move your car.

Cost

The service is free to you. Providers pay us a fixed fee that never depends on whether you hire anyone, what your claim is worth, or what any provider earns. Nothing comes out of a settlement to pay us.

Providers are separate businesses

Participating providers are independent businesses. They are not our employees, partners, or agents. We do not supervise their work and we are not responsible for it. Your agreement with any provider is between you and them.

The site as it is

We work to keep this site accurate and available, and we do not promise it is error free or never down. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes get posted here with a new date and version number, and prior versions are archived rather than overwritten.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict of laws rules.
